The following list of inventor clubs, and the occasional entrepreneur club, is here to help you locate people you can learn from or share experiences with. You will find that many of the listed clubs are identified as " ?DEAD? ," with question marks. That means only that the contact information I have for them doesn't get through to anybody that knows anything current about the club. If you know something about the club and have current contact information I would be delighted to update my information. If you know of or find more current information you are certain is correct, or even if you know a club is definitely +DEAD+ please let me know (via Update Club page) so the info can be updated rather than frustrate novice inventors seeking a club meeting to attend. Also you will note that some entries are annotated (with an "Annotated" link). Some also link to a separate site or pages for the specific club. If your club has a web site (or at least pages on some shared site) I would be delighted to link to it. That solves a problem (for me anyway). It keeps me from having to constantly update information on my site when things are changed at your site. BUT beware I may still annotate my entry for your club. To see why just read through the "Club Warning" page. Following the club info on my current round of updates I'm adding NPO (Non-Profit Organization, NE=Non-Exempt) status and WIS?=__ indicating whether or not the club has a circulating copy of "Will It Sell?..." that you can borrow. At the very end of the listing in small type is the date the listing was last updated. I may also, at my discretion, add annotations that you might provide about any club. You will be required to provide your real name, address, work and home phone numbers, and a paid for e-mail address (no free ones). The name will be published with the annotation but the rest are not for publication, just requested so that they can be provided should there ever be a legal requirement to do so. (That should, my theory goes, keep annotations honest.) And, for any club that does NOT have a web page I would be happy to put one up. The fancier you want it the more work YOU (or someone in your club) are responsible for doing to create a working, informative page (or pages) within the shell of a standard InventorHome page. See Club Pages for more specifics. And please, I will ONLY work with ONE point of contact for any club. You can squabble among yourselves for who that will be and you can squabble among yourselves as to what the page(s) will look like and the information they will contain. You just can't put me in the middle of the squabbles, thank you:-). Clubs are listed alphabetically by State (or Country if not U.S.) and City (some cities have more than one club(?), or address(?) for the club, and some major city's clubs have a suburban city address). Don't forget to check nearby states too. If you find nothing, or the nearest club you find is identified as DEAD (with question marks or "for-sure" plus signs), then you may want to check the Source links at the bottom of this page to check other sites that list inventor clubs. The addresses of ?DEAD? clubs is included here not for you to contact, which you should not try, but so you'll know whether info you find on a Source site might be the same dead information. If the info is not the same the Source site info could be new or it could be even deader than my information. In general inventors are already thought of as kooks, please don't reinforce that (possibly accurate?) perception by contacting DEAD addresses--they've already been checked.
